Automated Gameplay

Once a certain number of fish has been successfully caught or service provided, anglers and owners of water plots will automatically receive a payout for the activities they completed. The chance of manipulation or fraud is zero because the payout system is completely auto-calculated.
Even better, there is no room for error or miscalculation as the payout system is also based on preset algorithms.
You don’t always need to be online. For example, players who own the water plots or buildings don’t need to manually administrate fishery plots, tournaments, or their NFT building services. The same goes for anglers: they can fish completely automatically just by adding a few features.

RNG Technology

While the process of fishing and catching is in large part skill-based, RNG (Random Number Generator) also plays a major part in a successful NFT fish catch.
Equipped fishing rods and other equipment (NFTs) in combination with ability choices can influence success, but they are not a guarantee. While every ability, rod, boat, and other parameter will give you a slight edge in winning, outcomes are based on RNG/Chainlink VFR.
In simple terms, even a player without proper fishing equipment has a chance to win out over a fully equipped player.
Again, that doesn’t mean the chance of it happening is very high. It only means that RNG plays a role in the final outcome of the catch.

But what is an RNG and why is it a part of the game?

As we mentioned before, RNG is an acronym for a random number generator, and it basically does that. It’s an algorithm that creates a sequence of numbers that can’t be reasonably predicted better than by chance. An RNG operates in pre-set boundaries, meaning that it only generates numbers in a set range. For example, it generates a random number in the set range from 0 to 10 or from 20 to 60.

Why do we use RNG then?

Because a little bit of randomness is required to keep things from becoming stale and monotonous, RNG became one of the important factors in modern gaming. A well-implemented RNG can help keep the game exciting, make the player curious, and ultimately keep them coming back to the game, time and time again.
Fishverse will also make good use of Chainlink VFR, a blockchain RNG that ensures that the randomness of the outcomes is tamper-proof and transparent. This technology will infuse Fishverse’s fishing, farming, and tournaments with unpredictable, yet equitable, gameplay dynamics.
This VFR is the verifiable source of on-chain randomness and its RNG will also allow players to forge NFTs with random traits, as well as randomly determine the winners of tournaments via a defined set of odds.

Realistic AI Fish behavior

In the FishVerse, fish will be able to swim dynamically, as well as see and avoid obstacles. They are afraid of noise and feel danger. Different types of fish will have different behaviors, for example, some may swim erratically on their own, while others may swim in groups. Different fish breeds will be attracted using separate kinds of bait and fishing techniques. The natural habitat of breeds will be implemented as well, for example; freshwater breeds will be not able to travel in such areas where water is already salty or the opposite. Rivers, lakes, seas and etc... will contain only such breeds which are programmed to behave and survive like in their real-life environment.

Security

In Fishverse, achieving impeccable protection is one of the absolute top goals.
The foundation of Fishverse is constructed by integrating pre-existing security technologies with tried-and-true methods that have been shown to be successful on several occasions. For example, everything will be carefully protected on the devices that belong to the users. The seed phase of the encrypted data, together with any sensitive information, is stored on the user's hard disk. The user will retain complete authority over their digital wallet, and neither a website nor a service provider will have access to any of the user's personally identifiable information.
